American Linear Collider Detector Simulation Study

-- February 15-16 Meeting --

To prepare the material we will present at Sitges, the simulation group of the American LC Detector study will hold three meetings during this winter and spring. Following the first of these at SLAC, the second will be held Monday and Tuesday, February 15 and 16, at Fermilab. The purpose of this meeting is to review the status of the full simulation studies of reference processes, and to see the first results of physics studies.

The proposed agendas for the parallel sessions at Sitges are due from the working group chairmen on Feb. 20. Thus, anyone who intends to present simulation work at Sitges should present preliminary results and a status report at the Fermilab meeting.

On this page, you will find:

If you are coming to the meeting, please register! Here is a current list of registered participants.

Please send all questions about this meeting to Andreas Kronfeld.

Agenda

The detailed agenda can be found at this link.

The February meeting will include discussion of the following items:

Please note that we will not schedule reviews of the LC accelerator and the physics program; please refer to the talks given at the Keystone meeting.

On Monday evening we will dine together at the Greek Islands Restaurant in Lombard. For those preferring solitude or staying longer, a list of local restaurants will be included in your packet, and more information is available here.

Travel Information

The meeting will take place in ``Curia II'' on the second floor, next to the art gallery, of Wilson Hall (the high-rise) at Fermilab.

Fermilab can be reached from Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports. From either airport, you can rent a car to reach Batavia. Alternatively, you take an airport limo, for example West Suburban Limousine (reservations: 1-800-345-5466).

For comprehensive information on directions to Fermilab, car rentals, limos, and nearby motels, browse this page. Further information for visitors to Fermilab can be found there also.

For information on Fermilab's staff and experiments, see Fermilab at Work.

Registration Information

If you are planning to attend this meeting, please fill out this form. Please give your name and affiliation explicitly, and indicate if you would like to give a presentation. We strongly encourage participants to present something, even if their work is at a preliminary stage.

In keeping with the informal character of this meeting, there will be no registration fee, but you are asked to make your own travel arrangements (see above).

Simulation Resources

Many resources for the American LC detector simulation group are collected on the simulation group Web page. Many other resources are collected on the various pages of the World-Wide LC detector study, for which the home page can be found from this link.
