E769 Abstracts

The x_f, p_t^2 and p_t distribution of D+- mesons produced
by 250 GeV K+ nucleon interactions are mesuered through the decay channel
D+- -> K-+ pi+- pi+-.
The distributions are
fit to A(1-x_f)^n, Be^{bp_t^2} and
Ce^{-b'p_t} producing n=4.366 +- 1.575 +- 0.327,
b=1.243 +- 0.342 +- 0.062$ GeV^{-2}
and b'=2.689 +- 0.440 +- 0.150$ GeV^{-1}. These values are
compatible with the ones
obtained for 250 GeV pi- nucleon interactions.
