There will be a MIPP IB meeting on Saturday, November 9, as part of the MIPP
collaboration meeting at Fermilab.
The two agenda items that I am aware of are the application from the University
of Virginia to join the collaboration and the election of an IB chair.
(I have already demonstrated my incompetence for the job by not sending out
this notice two weeks in advance as required by the bylaws.)
I still have not received all of the MOU narratives in spite of emails and
phone calls. If you have not sent one to me, please do.
Gary

Hi Peter-
Can you post these minutes on the MIPP web pages (or tell me how to
do it).
Probably a new page for IB minutes should be started.

The IB met for the first time during the Nov. 11 general
collaboration meeting.
The first item on the agenda was the selection of the
IB Chair. Gary Feldman was elected by unanimous vote.
Gary chose M. Longo as the IB Secretary.
A short discussion as to the length of the IB Chair term
followed. A term of 2 years was agreed upon by acclamation.
A discussion of the University of Virginia request to
join MIPP followed. Craig Dukes made a short presentation.
He mentioned the group had significant commitments to CKM in the next year
or so. After a short discussion, a move to aaccept the U. Va.
group was unanimously approved.
Gary noted that the Stanford and Houston groups have dropped
out. The Protvino group seems to have dropped out.
