Minutes of P907 meeting on Wednesday September 5, 2001

1. Floor Loading

Bob Wood's calculations regarding the shoring needed in Mbottom were accepted by FESS.

Steel fabrication for MB7 shoring

1. Cutting of the steel started on the 5th.
2. 8AM meeting Thursday w/Woods, Erickson, Voirin & Ellermeier to discuss fabrication and installation schedule and plans for completing the job by the end of September. There are 14 sections of steel to install. So a good plan is to if production can yield an average fabrication and installation of one section per day.

MC7 schedule:

September 5th &endash; begin steel fabrication

September 17th &endash; begin concrete slab installation

September 10th &endash; start lowering steel into MB

2. Roof and Overhead Door

Requisitions have been submitted for materials and labor to close roof & add overhead door in the section where the BM 109s were removed and for materials that will be needed to install a higher roof from the analysis magnets in DS MC7.

3. Monte Carlo and Chambers

Raja has completed the momentum resolution studies and will forward the results to all collaborations members for their evaluation and input.

4. Beam

Before extraction studies can be schedules for a couple of shifts, quadrapoles must be installed in MI extraction line. A window to install the quads has opened because of an impromptu accelerator shutdown Monday &endash; Wednesday.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, September 12, Theory Room, WH3NE at 10:30AM.
