The plan is complete installation of the steel by the end of September. Additionally, the installation of the concrete slab in MC7 is scheduled to be done between September 17th and 20th.
Requisitions needed for materials and labor to close roof & add overhead door in the section where the BM 109s were removed and for materials that will be needed to install a higher roof from the analysis magnets in DS MC7 have been entered into the electronic purchasing system.
Raja has Dave Northacker doing some gas system connections needed for testing work at lab 6. Terry Tope (tope@fnal.gov) under the guidance of Del Allspach (allspach@fnal.gov), from the Mechanical Department has been assigned to gas systems design. Additionally Bob Sanders (sanders@fnal.gov), also of MD, is assigned to the RICH gas system. Peter Barnes, Bob Mays (Houston) and any other 907 collaboration members should involve these MD engineers in any gas system designs. Their involvement will promote system consistency, and also generate necessary paper work needed to gain operation approval from safety review committees.
The installation of missing quadrapoles in the MI "circle" (incorrectly stated in last weeks minutes as the MI extraction line) has been completed. However, extraction studies do not warrant priority at this time, and therefore, will not be scheduled prior to the October accelerator shutdown.
Rosie assembly drawings are nearly completed.
Design has started on the understructure needed to elevate the RICH vessel.
