Minutes of P907 meeting on Wednesday September 19, 2001

1. MBottom Steel Shoring

1. Fabrication by MAB shop is complete.
2. Installation by the Voirin contingent is at 30%, completion is expected by 9/28.
3. Installation of concrete slab in MC7 in expected to begin soon with completion by 9/27.

2. Roof and Rollup Door to MC7

Requisitions for a subcontractor to close existing US MC7 opening are in Fermilab procurements. Requisition for purchasing roof materials of DS MC7 is awaiting John Cooper approval. The materials were evaluated and approved by Steve Dixon of FESS.

3. Chambers

Terry Tope with Dell Allspach will prepare necessary paper work to gain safety approval for gas systems operations of the chambers at lab 6 and the TPC at Mtest. Lab 6 chamber testing with gas is projected for early October, and testing of the TPC with gas about mid-October.

4. Beam Extraction

Nothing new.

5. Other Work

Work has commenced on support stands needed for the RICH. Another stand on the list is modification of the E-690 chamber cart to accommodate the TPC.

Information needed to modification the FY01 ICO has been forwarded to Ed Hartouni. Items that will be removed from the ICO are installation of the two analysis magnets. Items, which will be substituted, are roof materials and shoring of Mbottom.

In October, a limited ICO for installing the JGG will be generated by Ed. The technical procedure for installing the JGG is complete. However, a needed lifting fixture is missing. Lifting rings of sufficient capacity may have to be purchased.
