Minutes of E907 meeting on Wednesday January 16, 2002

1. Component Locations

All elements in the beamline fit into MC7. However, using Raja first pass Z positions, chamber 1 & 5 over lap adjacent equipment. David Lange believes the fix is in getting correct numbers into the GEANT Monte Carlo.

Peter to encourage E907 members to review Gary Smith MC7 drawing and provide feedback.

2. Magnets

Jim Ellermeier, the base of both the JGG & Rosie are too irregular to allow a self-leveling grout pad to be first laid down and then set the magnet bases on the grout. Therefore, the bases will be shimmed in place and then grouted. The grout will have to cure before the magnet is stacked. Cure time __?

3. CKOV

Ingrid Fang is assigned to start looking at the support stand needed.

4. RICH

Jim Kilmer to forward cost to Peter for modifying RICH service walkway to use at higher beam elevation. Need to determine if new electronics will change the heat load of the cooling system.

5. Cost Tracking

Anyone working on E907 must familiarize himself or herself with the WBS document, which can be reviewed at the E907 Web site under Fermilab at Work. For each WBS item you work on, record the WBS item, date and hours worked. Please forward that info to me weekly &endash; beverly@fnal.gov.

6. System Contacts

In order to work efficiently, you are encouraged to seek information (yes, bug them frequently) from the appropriate subsystem contact.

7. Next Meeting

The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 23, Theory Room, WH3NE at 10:30AM.
