Before we can set a date to start rigging in any apparatus to MC7, time lines for design, fabrication and Installation of support for CKOV, RICH & NCAL have to be developed. Jim Kilmer and Ingrid are making progress. If you don't know details, rough estimates are a good start.
After further discussion on MC7 settling due to magnet loading, it is decided to start with the centerline of both analysis magnets aligned on beam centerline, currently 80.5".
Jim Ellermeier will have a draft copy of the procedure for analysis magnet installation ready to circulate on February 20th.
Rosie needs about a 13" support under the magnet to elevate it on beam center. The question, make the support of steel or concrete? Jim E. did not find steel that is very close to a fit. Using the pieces he found, a lot of cutting and shimming would be required.
I will get an estimate for installing a concrete pad. I will assume the rebar pattern to be the same as the large slab until Bob Woods has a design. The pane will match Rosie's footprint, which is 10' X 15'.
Gary will gather drawings on Rosie's mirror plates support system.
Gary Smith has revised the drawing of MC7 using modified Z positions. He will work with Raja to make further refinements.
When can we package at MT for move to MC7?
A physicist crew will be decabling on Sunday after the collaboration meeting. We also plan on a crew the last week of February, probably the 28 and 1 March, to box it up and move to MC7.
Ingrid Fang work at putting together a schedule of support stand completion: design, material order, fabrication, & installation. Also, whether to complete the work inside the Lab or go to an outside shop?
Jim Kilmer &endash; support stand design is complete. Awaiting budget code to order materials. Also need a schedule for fabrication and installation, as well as fabricate in an inside/outside shop.
Questions: support chambers with independent supports to facilitate repair? Is the room? Support from floor? Overhead? On adjacent device? Use gantry? Any room for gantry?
Raja needs to get Beams to produce a beam sheet for the primary area.
Virgil will schedule getting MC7 floor elevation mapped.
