For elevating Rosie an additional 12", the decision is to install a concrete slab at an M&S cost of $3K, which, from the back of an envelope calculation, appears to be between 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost of using steel to get the increased height of 12". The concrete slab will be size to fit the footprint of Rosie's steel base. Rosie's mirror plates, which need support from the floor up, will be supported from the main floor slab using steel and/or jacks.
Once the two analysis magnets are in place, the "isle" space between the magnets and east wall utilities will be only about 18", and the "isle" on the west side of the magnets will be only about 24". Discussion will continue on where to strategically locate electronics, and other peripheral equipment so as to maintain an isle along the west (beam left) side of MC7 and maintain the ability to move chambers out (either east or west side) of the beamline for repairs.
Decabling at MT will occur the weekend of February 16th. Moving the TPC from MT to MC7 will occur on the February 28th.
