Upstream Beamline

BEAM - Beamline

UBL - Upstream Beamline Detectors

BCKOV

US CKOV beam pipe may have to be shortened to accommodate E690 wire chambers that will be located US, between and DS of the CKOVs. Gary Smith will talk to Beams side drafter and get exact dimension and space available on a drawing.

Mike Heffner will discuss mirror re-coating with Jim K and commence paper work to get it done.

Targets

TGTW - Target Wheel

CTGT - Cryogenic Targets

NTGT - NuMI (MINOS) Target

TPC - Time Projection Chamber

Stick repair: replacing the "lead" chip does not repair a single group of channels because it was found that individual channels have bad components &endash; repairs & testing continue.

Platform frame design estimated completion in 2 weeks, 70% complete; at some point mounting holes will need to be drilled in JGG steel.

Magnets

Power supplies will be located in ME6 area of the Detector building, thus the DC will be transported down to the magnets from that location.

JGG - Jolly Green Giant

Rosie

Rosie steel welding not yet scheduled &endash; maybe next week.

CKOV - Cerenkov

Cart, rails and DC#2 inner/outer frame. Delivery is due mid August.

DC - Drift Chambers

Testing continues.

Dave will have the bracket & tray of one chamber completed next week.

Iowa chambers &endash; support stand design in progress

TOF - Time of Flight

RICH - Ring Imaging Cerenkov

5 - VME boards being stuffed at Fermilab; layout of 32 channel boards nearly complete. The boards will also be stuffed at Fermilab, and then preliminary testing will be done before sending the boards to Harvard for production testing.
