Upstream Beamline

BEAM - Beamline

Dave Carey presented an “existence proof” on another iteration of his beam line design. Chuck Brown, Raja, others(?) need to look at the design iterations and select magnet, colliminator, etc. locations that provide momentum selection and others beam criteria desirable. Once the locations of elements are set, design on support stands can begin.

UBL - Upstream Beamline Detectors

BCKOV

Win will discuss motorizing the manual controlled CKOV with Jim K.

Targets

TGTW - Target Wheel

CTGT - Cryogenic Targets

NTGT - NuMI (MINOS) Target

TPC - Time Projection Chamber

Livermore has placed PO for cart/rails, stand PO will be placed in next day or two.

Magnets

Main LCW header installation along MC7 and over to magnets started 11/25, completion expected 12/3.

ZipTrack

JGG - Jolly Green Giant

Electrically the coils are ready to be energized. Hall probes will be installed about 12/4.

Rosie

LCW hoses will be installed the week of 12/2. Bus jumpers to series coils finished about 12/5. Klixons & hall probes need to be connected.

CKOV - Cerenkov

DC - Drift Chambers

DC1-4 (E690 Chambers)

DC#3 & 4: support stand drawings down to the details. Assembly drawing will take a week.

DC5 & DC6 (Iowa Chambers)

Support stand drawings waiting for review and sign off, then go for a fabrication quote.

TOF - Time of Flight

Looked at HyperCP counters, but they had only about 1/2 the number needed.

RICH - Ring Imaging Cerenkov

32-channel board stuffed, Terry Kiper is working on software.

ECAL - EM Calorimeter

Win’s committee completed a safety review of the lead supports.

NCAL - Calorimeter
