Acnet basics
- Acnet terminal is located just to the right
of e907mon. It is an NCD unix terminal.
- Important for Mipp screens are found under the "S"
group. To get there, using one of the larger square
windows, click on the letter in the upper left corner.
Change it to 'S' and hit return. S16, S17, and S45
what I've looked at so far. For example:
- To find the JGG and Rosie currents, click S17,
then "MIPP2" (fifth row down), the go to the first
of the four screens. Do that by clicking '-' or '+'
on the left-most field of the fourth line. Then
you should see a line for "Jolly Green Giant"
and for "Rosie". Each line has a set point current
(in yellow), an actual current (in green), and
a status (in green or red). I'm not yet knowledgable
about all the possible status settings. Though "T"
is trip, for example.
- To find the status of some of the beam line
magents follow the above directions, except go
to the fourth screen under MIPP2.
- Under S45, you can make plots of various
swics and multiwire beam chambers.
- In principle we can use Acnet to control settings,
eg, the currents in the analysis magnets, but also beamline
stuff. User beware. Nominally the ability to do this is
disabled. To enable, go to the 'Utilities' window and
click on 'Settings". Choosing something other than
'Disable' will allow you to control Acnet devices
